Welcome to the Smokenator forum!

The Smokenator is an accessory for your 22" Weber kettle grill (and soon for the 26" grill!!) that converts it to a water smoker, expanding the kettle's functionality and offers superior passive temperature control.

This forum is a place to learn about the Smokenator and your Weber kettle, hear about how its used, share recipes for rubs, and for bragging about cooking triumph.

It's a place for the novice BBQ chef and the advanced practitioners of the art of BBQ. All are welcome, please do respect that this is a family oriented board dedicated to cooking food in the great American BBQ tradition.

On August 4th, 2009, Don Thompson, the inventor of the Smokenator, passed away from cancer at the age of 60. He left behind a wife of 23 years, a daughter, step-son, and step-daughter.

Don loved to BBQ and wanted his customers to be able to succeed in cooking excellent meals for their families. He also believed in providing exceptional customer service, something he felt had been lost in many businesses today. It is important to us to maintain his high standards.

Don's wife Stephanie, his daughter Jennifer, and his step-son Ed will continue to run the business in the same fashion that Don did. While our response time to email and voice mail may be a little slower, we will do our best to return calls and emails the same day.
