Hello. I am starting out with my smokenator. I had one question. When I put the smokenator in, whether or not I am going to put food on the charcoal grate left over should I cover this in foil to limit the air flow to just the smokenator area?

I don't use foil unless I'm going to wrap the meat after smoking it.
