Does anyone know if the Smokenator fits on the new version of the Weber Platinum? It looks like the specs are a little different and I haven't been able to see one in person to check it out.

I believe it will fit as it is based on the 22.5" weber, but no one has one in stock around San Jose.

For what is worth, I called Weber this morning. They said everything is the same and the accessories they make for the other 22.5" grills will fit. I asked about the tabs for the food support grill and they did not know.

The Smokenator including the Hovergrill fit just fine in a 22.5 inch One-Touch Platinum (the now-discontinued 4-legged kettle with two side tables) which I bought July 2011 (it's the 2010-2012 model). More specifically, the Smokenator tabs and the kettle grill support tabs sit side-by-side just as shown in FIG 1 of page 2 of the Smokenator manual. I've used the Smokenator (with and without the Hovergrill) for short smoking (including a tri-tip for shredding and an eye round roast ala Baltimore Pit Beef) and for long smoking (many racks of spare ribs and a beef brisket per the Minion Method) and have not had a problem with the Smokenator sliding, moving, or otherwise causing a problem even when adding water or coals.
