I will need to replace my 22 1/2" Weber silver
Which Weber would help handle temperature control better with the smokenator?
Weber Silver or Weber one touch gold?

When I got mine I looked at every silver and gold Weber OSH had in stock (about 15 or so). All of the lids were warped. The gold has the ash catcher otherwise they are basically the same. I went with the one where the lid fit best on kettle and it still leaked. I ended up using binder clips to fix the problem.

When using the ET-73 , is it more practical on the gold or silver? .
Is passing the wire from the bottom vent the same for both models?
