Considering purchasing a Weber grill and smokenator. I'm trying to determine if I can get two layers of food in there. One layer on the charcoal grate - maybe a pork butt; and then racks of ribs on the top. I imagine the lower level would get cooked certainly, but it might be hotter than the top and not get the benefiit of as much smoke.
What's your experience?

In our testing, the coal support is about 80 degrees lower than the dome temp. Food support is about 40 lower and hovergrill is about 30 lower than dome. If cooking down here, you need to rotate the food.

Awesome. Thanks for the tip. Think I'll stick with the main grill and maybe a hovergrill.
I've ordered the Weber 26.75" grill; the Smokenator 2600, and Hovergrill. I'm so stoked.
