I picked up a corned beef brisket because they were on sale for St. Patrick's Day. Soaked it and rinsed it to remove some of the salt. I made a pastrami rub from Steven Raichlen's "How To Grill" book, rubbed it, placed it in the refrigerator for a day to cure, then broke in my Smokenator 1000 with it. I smoked this for about 6.5 hours with hickory wood. It was my first cook with the Smokenator and it went off without a hitch. Had no trouble maintaining the temperature or keeping it smoking well or anything. I can hardly imagine all the cookouts to come using my new Smokenator and Hovergrill! P.S. Is there a way to post more than one picture? I have pictures of the whole process, but I seem to only be able to post one picture. Attachments:

Another good one. Looks like you got your smokenator dialed in.
