I am patiently waiting for my Smokenator 1000 to arrive but I have a wanted to ask a few of many questions to come.
I need a bit of clarification on temperature control and the vents. I have done a lot of reading and digging around and I think I have screwed myself up. Do I control the temp with the bottom or upper vents? I am thinking the bottom would have the greater effect on the temp. I would then think once I got the temp where I wanted it I wouldn't mess with the upper vent and simply close or open the bottom when I needed to adjust the temp up or down.
Also do you block two of the vents on the bottom of the kettle and only allow intake on the vent that is below the Smokenator?
