We just upgraded our Weber to the One Touch Platinum. One problem is that the vent is in the center. We've always used the Smokenator with an off-set vent and love it. Anybody found a way to make the center vent work as good as the off-set vent?

It will work just fine. One thing I would do is cover the portion of the charcoal grate that is not covered by the smokenator with alum foil. That way the air will be forced to the "firebox". Then you will just have to play with the vent settings.
