Did a tri tip with the Smokenator and PartyQ from BBQ Guru. Used the amazing ribs recipe for the rub: www.amazingribs.com/recipes/rubs_pastes_marinades_and_brines/big_bad_beef_rub.htmlTemp was steady at 225 with the PartyQ. Brought the the meat to 110 degrees and then pulled the Smokenator and finished over high heat. When it hit 130, I took it off and carved it. Very tasty! Notice the uniform color throughout the meat. The reverse sear technique makes the meat not have the overcooked part near the surface. Attachments:
