I have had the smokenator for about 2 months and use it every weekend. I tried to clean but it no longer has that nice silver look to it. It is complely black - any tips?
Thanks

yep...don't worry about it.. I would imagine that if it REALLY bothered you, you could find some sort of degreaser or oven cleaner to clean it. Just make sure to get all residue from cleaners off before you use it again--you don't want your first cook to taste like chemicals..

I would only be concerned with rust. Discoloration is normal.

try spraying it with pam each use, mine cleans up. the shine is going to go after time, pam just makes it easy to clean.

I just coated my new 1000 with Veggie oil and burned it at 375 degrees until it cured. No rusting this way and the scoot just comes off with a warn soapy dish rag. Bigmo7
