Hi All,
I have just recently purchased a smokenator and this weekend will be my first cook using it.
I'm a long time Weber Kettle user and have been using the snake method for my low n slow cooks with some good results but the smokenator caught my eye due to the easier setup and the testimonials from other users all seem very positive.
Anyway, I plan on cooking a brisket this weekend, i'll let you all know how it goes.
I look forward to sharing stories and recipes with you all.

Welcome alimac23. Where are you located it's nice to know so we can compare notes when we cook. I'm in the mountains of NC so compare more to northern states. There are a couple of recipes for briskets down in S-view if wish to look them over before trying yours this weekend. Look forward to your posts and sharing also. The S-view section is where we post pictures and cooks. With recipes in that section.
It is always a pleasure to have a new active member join in.

Hi Tom thanks for the warm welcome!
I'm from Western Australia all the way down under, the weathers just starting to warm up here so it's time to get into some good low n slow cooks again.
Thanks for the heads up in the S-view link, I'll definitely checkout the brisket cooks there before I try mine tomorrow.
Look forward to posting up some pics in the next couple of days.

Welcome to the forum Alimac23!! I look forward to hearing all about some great Australian BBQ/grilling recipes and techniques. It is always fun to learn about the cooking styles of other countries. I had the pleasure of spending some time in South Africa a few years ago, and went to a traditional Braai. It consisted of lamb chops and Boerewors sausage. Wonderful flavours.
Great to have you join the forum and I look forwarding to seeing pictures of your cooks and hearing more about you and what you like to cook on your Weber.

Wow a friend from down under. It will be really interesting to follow your grilling and smokes as to the types of woods and meats you use compared to what we use here. I love smoking a leg of lamb but a lot of it comes from Australia, NZ vs. US.
Take care and let us know how things come out on your cooks.
