Hi all, my name is Matt and I live in Ottawa, ON. I've had a smoke atop for a couple of years now, but haven't had much success getting it to work well. I have a really hard time keeping the charcoal lit and hot. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Hi Matt. The problem you have is you do to not have enough air flow. I am not familiar with a smoke atop. However with our Smokenator's we stir the coals every hour and if necessary adjust the vents to maintain a good air flow. This may be adjusting them up or down depending as the weather conditions change. This maintains the 225-250 low and slow temps we look for.
