In the original Weber instructions, it tells you to place the foot side of the Weber into the wind and the top vent just opposite of the foot, to get the best circulation. In the photos online, it shows the Smokenator over the foot, right angle to the handles.
Is this the best position, or does it not matter?

Hi Ruddy,
It shouldn't matter where the smokenator is placed in the weber. I have mine by the handle on my weber silver. The smokenator is near two of the lower vents. I place the top vent opposite the smokenator.
