Cannot install blackberry link on windows 8

I am unable to install blackberry link on my windows 8 and this means that my computer cannot communicate with my device. It downloads the software but cannot for some reason install. I have tried the .NET 3.5 Framework option too, but still nothing. Can someone please help me show how to install blackberry link on my computer with win 8. I have tried the 6 and 7 versions of blackberry link.
