Hi Guys,
I've got my smokeanator up and running with a 7.5# butt going and I noticed that my kettle (Weber Performer) is dripping water. I assume it is condensation from the water pan but have never seen this before. It started dripping while I was bringing the kettle up to temp before I even put the meat in and has continued slowly since then. Temp at the grill is holding in the 225-230' range with dome temps at around 260'. Has anybody else experienced this water problem before? Should I worry about condensation dripping onto the meat?
Thanks for any thoughts.

I haven't seen it from the water pan unless I over filled it. I have seen the juices from the meat drip down.

Hi Ed,
Thanks for the reply. I saw the first drops of water while the kettle was coming up to temp but before I put the meat on, so this isn't meat dripping. I assumed it was condensation from the water boiling in the water pan but that's just an assumption. I'm a couple of hours into my cook now and there is still the occasional drip but not much. I don't see any evidence of water/condensation dripping onto the meat. Any thoughts?
Michael

Hi Michael,
You can always clean the grill up to make sure there is no water in it and do a dry run to see if if drips water.
