I just ordered a Smokenator and Hovergrill to be sent to Queensland Australia. Just wondering if any other Smokenators have been sent to Australia? Keep up the good work Ed. David

My Smokenator 1000 with Hovergrill arrived safely today Wednesday 21 September. Many thanks for the Metric version of the Manual. Now to some serious smoking!

Got a couple of days off from work - so did the Test Run as per the manual this morning and adjusted the vents and recorded temperatures as instructed using my Weber Performer. Had to go out for a couple of hours - came back and the Smokenator was still going although I had closed all the Weber vents. So decided to crank it up and am currently smoking a breast of chicken and looking guuuuud! Using a mix of Heat Beads, Hickory wood chunks and Gidgee lump charcoal. Somebody should have warned me - the first time I took the kettle lid off it looked like all the paint was blistering and peeling off the Kettle base! No doubt experienced Smokenator Chefs will know what I mean...... As an experienced kettle user, I think you soon get a feel for using the Weber kettle with the Smokenator, "gutfeel" dont need pencils to set the Top Vent! I move the vent by instinct while watching the temperature on the built-in thermometer in the Performer.
