My gas grill has a table on each side of the grill while my weber doesn't. Weber has a plastic table, but I couldn't see spending $40 for it. I went to Home Depot and bought folding table legs for $20. Lowes sells them for about the same price. I used a scrap piece of pine that was 21" x 62" and an inch thick. I put the lid in the middle and traced around the edge. I cut the wood with a jig saw. On the bottom of the curved section of wood I placed a small block about 3/4" high and about 6" long. I glued and screwed this to the pine and left a couple of screws sticking out an inch so they would touch the handle and keep the table from moving. Then I screwed the legs on. I was able to to make two tables in about 20 minutes. I kept one and gave the other to Don. If I had it to do over again I would have made the table longer. It sure is nice to have a place to set your tray when you are getting your meat off of the grill. Ed Attachments:

Now all you need to do it get the old router out and finish those edges. I may try this but I need to make it to where it will handle the weather.

Sorry it took so long to reply, I had to find time to take a picture for you. I cut a small block of wood so the table sits level, then screwed and glued it to the table bottom. Then I placed two screws sticking out about 3/4" so they hit the inner sides of the handle. Just place it on the side opposite the wheels so you don't dump anything off of the table if the bbq moves. Thanks a bunch....The one thing I hate about the Kettle is there is no where to put things unless you buy hooks. This table looks like the perfect solution and fun project. Thanks for the pic.

This was my idea to turn my kettle into a performer, spent 50.00 on cart at harbor freight and an hour of time, works great added my smokenator and was off. Loved the idea of the table as well this just made mine a little easier to move Attachments:

Cart looks nice. The table I built died a few months ago. I'll have to try this out when i have some time.
